MoMA craze - people camping out in Berlin to see collection

BERLIN - As the hugely successful exhibit of masterpieces from New Yorker Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) draws to a close in Berlin, desperate art fans have resorted to camping out overnight to get tickets.

The show in Berlin's Neue National Galerie, which opened in February, ends on 19 September and has already been seen by one million visitors.

Adding to the MoMA-mania is the fact that organisers recently declared no extension of the show would be possible.

The usual waiting time is five or six hours even though opening hours have been extended to 2:00 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays and to midnight on all other days.

I wish Americans could appreciate art that much. You usually only see lines like that waiting to see the latest Star Wars preview.

I would think it would be MMoA or MuMoA...:shrug:
