I've just taken an ambien, and I'm not sure whether it is a wise idea to continue post until I'm ready to sleep.
Last time I did this I ended up ordering something online that I had no recollection of the next day. It was inexpensive and something I wanted anyway, so no foul. I found out when I got the order conformation email.
I have to help get the kids in bed. The reason I didn't wait to take them until I go to bed is that I'm too grogy the next moring. If I take then a couple of hours before I go to bed, I'm not so bad. I just have a couple of hourse where I'm loopy.
11. When I use Ambien, I take 1/2 of a 5 mg pill just as I get into bed.
The I read and have TV on - Nightline usually, and then turn off the light after 20 minutes.
Then I sleep - all I need it for is to GET to sleep - not to knock me out for 6 hours. Once I am asleep, I am fine - it's the getting there that needs help.
It took a while to figure that out and I kept reducing my dosage to see what worked. I rarely take a whole pill and I NEVER take it while I am up and about.
