I was reading his quote about how much Botox it took to get rid of the smirk just now. He wrote a piece for Esq., might've been around Father's Day, I think, and described how radically his relationship with the Holy One changed after young Ron was finally able to beat his Dad in a swimming contest. Ron does a very subtle job of portraying what was important to the old man (basically, being the King at everything), and this slight, which most fathers would be proud about, astounded the Gip, because it wasn't all about him for once.
I'm gleefully reading between the lines, but it was a good view into the Freeperego mind.
