we have made peace that we have to just not talk politics. we respect each others views.

did you say housework? he-he. I have had to really clean this place since everything went to hell over the summer. I need more bookcases.

We are going to a birthday lunch for my tai-chi teacher tomorrow. Don't know about the rest of the weekend yet.

I'm the only person in my house that seems to know how to do it. lol

although my husb is actually better at cleaning the kitchen than I am.

Mrs. Squeech was supposed to return home today from Brazil. But they cancelled her flight to Miami, because of Frances. Dunno if they'll be flying tonight or tomorrow either... bummer.

I am going to miss the bush protest in Cedar Rapids tonight good luck to all against the Shrub.
My wife, kids and I are going to march in a parade in a small town Saturday at 10:00am in support of a Iowa Democrats.

My precinct will be canvassed by sun down on Monday. I was given a list of infrequent voting democrats to get them signed up for absentee ballots.

But, tomorrow I am going to see the Hawkeyes play Kent State in Kinnick Stadium. Yeah!!!

I tried twice to make plans for this weekend and both times the universe conspired against me. *huge sigh* Oh well. At this point I figure I'll do some cleaning. Maybe spend some time with my best friend. And if the weather cooperates I might do some baking. :)

I'm picking Royal Gala apples on Sunday, though.

Although...that's sort of laboring, too.
