I am so happy, I got carded today.

I am a little over forty & have not been carded for a while.
The sweet young man behind the counter, bless his heart, said I have to card anyone who looks above 25.
I do not card how much he was lying. That store will get all my future business.

A couple of years ago, I got carded (I was probably 40). I was delighted - haven't been carded since I turned 18! I thanked him and he yawned, "Oh, I have to card anyone who looks like they're under 50." Talk about deflating my balloon!!!

Edited to add - I work in a grocery store. I've noticed that women love it when they're carded and men get annoyed. Every once in a while, when I see a woman who looks like she's having a bad day, I'll card her (only after peeking while she gets into her wallet - I'd hate to have to refuse her because she had no I.D.!). Always perks them up.

4. I carded a 48 year old once

It was an oriental woman and her daughter and I thought they were sisters. Amazing, I got a hug outta the deal it was funny :)
