OK, a little premature, but they are looking pretty good so far. I think we might have a defense this year.

1. Come down johnnie
it's only pre-season and they have to go through the VIKINGS to achieve that goal.

3. Does the rest of the AFC have the flue?
Because if they do, the Browns might have a chance. A little one, anyway. Of making the playoffs.

My advice: Watch out for my beloved Bengals.

8. At least you finally dumped "Crank it up" Timmy Couch
Possibly the worst #1 pick of the modern era. At least San Diego identified Ryan Leaf with #2. You guys deserve much more ridicule and Couch more infamy, since Culpepper and McNabb were both available. In college, Couch had a horrible delivery and virtually no arm, just little dump offs in a gimmick offense at Kentucky. I would not have drafted him in the 5th round.

But that summer I visited Cleveland and took plenty of grief from the locals when I suggested Couch would bust. And after the Hall of Fame exhibition game, the local media all but had him an enshrinee in 20 years or so.

Like many 'Canes fans, I pull for Cleveland because of the Butch Davis connection and Bernie Kosar history, plus the basic uniforms and logo with all this futuristic crap on almost every other helmet.

9. All Politics...
Couch was a waste of a pick, and I knew that from the start. To be honest, Kosar was not much better. In the early days he had great receivers, but that side arm throw he had was going to kill him from the start. It did.
