1. You forgot to include "Who CARES?" in your poll....
I LOVE 6 feet under, but there was just something about the character of Lisa that bugged the shit out of me. I, for one, am glad she's gone. Brenda isn't any great catch, either, but at least her character is complex and multi-dimensional, not to mention INTERESTING.

2. Gotta agree with you...but I do care, for the residual effect it will have
on the other characters.

It will be interesting to see what will happen between Nate and Brenda if it turns out to be Billy.

5. So talk to me. I'm curious....why do you think it was Billy?
He was pretty much invisible last season. I would have never conjectured it would have been Billy. Do you think he did it in a sick attempt to free up Nate for Brenda?

8. I don't...I think it has something to with that book.
The one that Barb's daughter gave to David and then a couple of weeks later told Nate he could read too.

She's conspiously trying to tell them something.

10. Yes...exactly...
plus the fact that he reappeared two episodes before the finale, and the revelation of Lisa's murderer.

14. Plus, the picture that is supposed to reveal the person who was with...
her before she died. And we know that Billy is a photographer, right?

(Remember when he photographed Bren and Nate having sex? it would be just like him to photograph Lisa dying.)

...gave Nate to give to David and then later told him to read it.

4. Other: I think it was the dead coroner father come back as an apparition
to her and freaking the life outta her. I wonder why that doesn't ever happen to anyone else. :D

7. Either that, OR....
She could have had an allergic reaction to the scented detergent Ruth sometimes used on Maya's clothes.

9. The other character I'm glad is gone is Arthur......
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 09:47 PM by KzooDem
Alan Ball needed to write him out. I love the unusal, odd and quirkiness SFU has to offer, but Arthur's character was just a little too much over the edge to believe. I may not have cared for Lisa, but one could believe her character could be real. Arthur was just a freak.

12. I wish that Kathy Bates' character would go, too.
I don't like her. She tries too hard.

13. Bettina rocks!
She does whatever the hell she wants and says what she wants. She's like Ruth's "confidence angel".

11. That was an unfortunate choice for a murder victim's name
I have no idea what Six Feet Under is. But in the late '80s, a young woman named Lisa Kimmell was abducted, held for about one week, then sadistically murdered and dumped in a river bed. The case gained notoriety after being featured on Unsolved Mysteries, the so-called "Lil Miss" case due to the victim's personalized license plate. The murder happened in the west, Montana I believe. The case was finally solved based on a DNA match in 2002, with a conviction early this year and the death penalty imposed. Authorities believe the convicted man may have been a mass murderer, the so-called Great Basin Murders.

You would think a TV show would do some checking before using a name of an actual recent murder victim. It has to hurt the real victim's family, if they are aware of the show.

15. Well, her married name was Lisa Kimmel Fischer.
But she wasn't really a Fischer long enough to think of her as family.

19. Brother in law was asking too many questions about the Lisa's burial place
Was it near a Joshua Tree???????

Yeah, that ought to narrow it down when you go to dispose of the evidence, dumbass.

20. On Route 69...
remember that?

And they were awfully insistent that she be cremated instead of interred.

21. Plus the creep-out factor...
Remember--he let them keep Maya at the family picnic and he went back to the hotel room to be with Brenda.

If it is one of them--remember him telling the brother-in-law to be careful with Maya?--then it will definitely be creepy.

Even better--he never had a paternity test, that i remember. What if MAYA IS HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW'S child!!

22. I'm going with Billy
Because he's CRAZY. I'm thinking he was depressed about the falling out with Brenda, went off his meds, and killed Lisa thinking it would get him in good with Brenda. Pretty thin, I admit.

The thing with the little girl and the book is odd. What's the point of that if not something to do with Lisa's death? I'm thinking that it's meant to show how David is good with kids since he and Keith have been considering adopting a child.

The questions about the Joshua tree were also weird. I didn't get that.

Billy's crazy, so he's my top suspect.
