Sexy posters to cut violence.....As in "billboards" not DU's sexy Posters!

How odd...basically saying "You won't get a shag if you get the shit kicked out of you"..but if it works, that's cool.

"A racy poster campaign is being used by police in Blackpool to reduce alcohol-fuelled violence.

The adverts - which appear similar to the famous Wonderbra publicity campaign - feature local model Rachel Hall, 22, dressed in skimpy clothing.

One has the slogan: "Hi boys! I'd rather have a laugh with you than see you in stitches.

"Walk Away is...making the point that if you want to go home with a girl at the end of the night, that it's just not attractive." "

1. I wonder how effective such a campaign can be.

My first question would be to ponder how many young blackpool lads seriously believe Rachel Hall was going to give 'em a shag in any circumstance.

Unfortunately Blackpool now has a reputation for Stag Parties and Hen Nights.....last time I was there the entire town seemed to consist of unbelievably drunken idiots all trying to shag each other.

And the girls usually wear a good deal less than Rachel, as far as I can tell.

It's one of those places where a sense of style is frowned upon.

3. If this is true,

then it calls the advert into question on other grounds.

Obviously if she won't shag them someone will. And if they're pissed enough, they may not even realise it isn't her.

4. I'm not sure they'll get shagged if they're physically bleeding,

unconscious or in a police cell (except in a very bad way).

Of course the other flipside (pyramidial coin) is that you HAVE to drink shitloads of beer before any of the girls in Blackpool look like her.....
