4. Right click on the image
Edited on Mon Jul-07-03 12:05 AM by Rhiannon12866
then click on properties. Copy the url. Highlight and backspace to get rid of the DU url at the top of your screen and paste this one in there. Click on GO.
It will display the image and it will appear on the post when you go back to it. Did I explain that clearly? It's something I learned on DU.:-)

on edit: tried to make instructions clearer

He's about the size of a Lab. This isn't him, but it looks a lot like him. I'll try and put a picture of him on the server one of these days.

13. Mine is Mac...
he's a mix of terrier and who knows what, but looks like a terrier. We got him from the SPCA 10 years ago, when he was about a year old. He's a wonderful little guy, and has given us so much pleasure.

When we got him, we had a female rottie, Morgan, who was 3, and died 7 years later of cancer. They were great friends, no problems at all, both very, very laid back, easy going dogs. We had her spayed when she was around a year old...Mac came neutered. No worries about adding to the canine population.

Next dog I get will definitely be a rescue; believe me, they enrich your life so much.

14. Both of mine are rescue. (See post #2)Coincidentally, both belonged to
older, single women who died. The estate was paying to board Sheena for a month at this local animal hospital that I know euthanizes. I just happened to go there because my vet was away and I needed prescription food for my other dog, also a cocker. I couldn't stop thinking about her. Talk about adding insult to injury. My little guy belonged to a very wealthy woman, who also died and somehow he and his sister ended up with the groomer. He didn't want them and was going to have them euthanized. How hard would it be to place such darling little dogs?! My vet's wife says they have a waiting list at the local shelter. One of his clients took the dogs, but only wanted one. He kept the sister and she was the leader. My poor little guy ended up with a man he was afraid of (he has issues with men) and he didn't get along with the guy's other, beloved dog, so HE was going to euthanize him! I heard about him just in time. He was so lost, having lost his person AND his sister. He bonded with me on the ride home in the car and was sleeping with Sheena on her bed that very first night. Sheena loves little dogs and he found another sister. Sometimes, when they have animal adoption clinics at the place I take my guys to the vet, I wonder if they see me as this snooty woman with her fancy little dog. They cannot know that my little sweetheart dodged a bullet, TWICE! I love my guys!

37. Reba looks so sweet,
and almost like my Wuzzie, the dog I felt closest to in my entire life. (And I've always had dogs and loved them all.) Wuzzie died in 1994, after a long and happy life.

Cherish Reba!

30. Me too!
We now only have a dog and cat but we've been owned by Chinese dwarf hamsters and four rats in the past. Other people always thought we were weird for having rats as pets but it broke my heart going into the pet store and seeing them being sold as snake food. They really are intelligent little beings with their own personalities. The trouble is the respiratory illnesses that they are so susceptible to. We're probably going to adopt a couple more soon anyway. They're just a lot of fun if you give them a chance.

Yes, I'm nuts. lol :P

29. Awww...I love all of your pet pics!
Timber reminds me of my Akita. She's the biggest, sweetest wimp in the world though she looks like she could tear your throat out. My bad ass kitty beats her up on a daily basis.
I don't have a picture of her on this puter but she looks a lot like this one. Minus the penis, of course. lol

32. You know cats and dogs can make great friends
When I got Howard he was a little baby grey tabby kitten and both our dogs (whom I loved so much) wanted to see him. I kept them back a few days. The younger dog, Gypsy was a beautiful tri-colored Beagle that my parents had rescued one night when they were out to dinner. This beautiful young female dog adopted the kitten and they played so cute together and were so trusting of each other.

When they were both old every morning they still greated each other nose-to-nose.

34. Got 3 of them, but no pics
Got 3 Dachshunds, eith one being the mother of the other 2 (though the sizes often leads people to think that one of the puppies is the father of the other 2 :D). The puppies are both from her 2nd batch.

The oldest one is Kela who turns 5 on September 8th. She weights 8.3 pounds. She have a habit of jumping up in my bed every morning to continue her sleep on my chest.

The smaller puppy, Beauty, turns 1 on September 9th (she looks nothing like her mother), and weights the same as her mother.

The biggest puppy, Benji, also turns 1 on September 9th, but he weights 14.55 pounds! He had originally been given to someone who had a puppy from Kela's 1st batch, but due to some problems between the two dogs, the owner decided to have him neutered. Which my mom's boyfriend, who owns the dogs, simply couldn't accept, as he planned on using him for future breeding. So he was returned to us. And he's also getting into the habit of sleeping next to me on those long & lazy mornings.
