Can someone explain the relationship between Peppermint Patty and Marcie?

I was always confused by it. They are both female, but Marcie seems to be Peppermint Patty's bitch and calls her "sir."

I can't tell you how much that confused me as a child. But in a way, I think it was good. Schroeder was already blurring gender roles for me and that was good.

Did you see the Family Guy episode where Peter goes around to all his old girlfriends, and he visits Patty? Full picture there...

Rerun recently came in 3d in the Tour de France and won 3 gold medals in bicycling in the Summer Olmpics before he went pro. Snoopy is fondly remembered by all and is still chasing after the Red Baron in Heaven, helped by his buddy Woodstock.
