Help me out fellow 80's babies, Losing my mind!!!!
For some reason I was hit with a wave of nostalgia this morning so I started looking up all the cool stuff I used to watch when I was a kid (born in 78) And I got stuck on pbs shows. Electric company, seame street when ex acid head hippies did it,square one, 3-2-1 contact (with the bloodhound gang!) etc. I remember this one movie on pbs or nickelodeon about a coming of age witch in a family of witches or wizards. I think it was set in Australia, England, Canada or New Zealand. The one clear scene I can remember is the witch/wizard coming of age and materializing a sphere that looked like the earth and just having fun spinning it around and the mom coming into the scene saying something like "it's dangerous to play with the world" or something like that. I need help, what is this? It's burning a hole in my brain and I fear I'm never gonna solve it.

On a side note : Kids shows suck nowadays. Pbs used to be cool as hell and there was so much to watch in the 80's. What happened? I'd much rather watch some brain boosting trippy as sin magical sci fi scary mystery show like "Read all about it" than spongebob squarepants.

cartoons were waaaaaaaaaaaay better back then. The Justice League. Dungeons and Dragons. Looney Tunes. Tarzan. The Barbapoppas. I could go on and on.

One of the few good things about the 80s, imho, besides punk music.
