Today... I don't know what to do with myself, the date alone makes me sick and sad. I'm just sitting here on DU with nothing to say or do.

2. I'm pretty optimistic--we're ahead of where Gore was
We have almost all the Gore states in our pocket+are ahead in Colorado and New Hampshire. The media is on their side and is trying to depress us. Don't let them.

4. Things you can DO -- for physical action often helps!
sit outside with a book you know well, and read it again
go to a coffee house to read, or to listen to the hum of conversation
freewrite
call a trusted friend or family member

or

go to a dog park & watch the romping, or see if anyone will let you pet/play w/ their dogs
go for a walk -- park, beach, pond, woods, or just in your neighborhood
go to the pet store & watch the fish
have a bike? go for a spin
drive w/ the windows down & the music up

or

laundry
mop or vacuum
cook something you can put away for dinner
(for even housework can help)

or . . . who knows?

Physical action helps me break out of it sometimes. Best of luck, Left-First.

10. Hmmm
Music helps me when I am down, or writing, or just having a little fun, try adding fuck to a movie or something or finding out funny names on a website, there are some names that are too good to be true.

14. Yes, actually
I want one of those hats...

The red plastic ones that look like they're made out of bowls you'd find at a garage sale?

go to a nursery
And buy yourself a perennial or a little tree. Plant it in memory of the people we lost that day.

13. Have you ever watched Hitchcock movies?
Do you like musicals?

Go get the soundtrack to either Elf or Chicago, learn the words, and belt them out in your bedroom!

Is the weather nice where you are? What about just a simple walk to clear your mind? Do you have a dog? Take he or she with you!

I know that blah feeling. It's hard. Hugs to you!!!

15. I Worked with America Coming Together Today
I handed out reminder cards for the primary next Tuesday and though about how nice it will be to get my check after the election. Nothing to be depressed about. Let's see who shows up next week.
