2 AM, I’m drunk again It’s heavy on my mind
Neon shines through smoky eyes tonight
2 AM, I’m drunk again
It’s heavy on my mind
It’s heavy on my mindIt’s I could never love again
So much as I love you
Where you end where I begin
Is like a river flowing through

Take my heart, take my eyes
'Cause I'll need them no more
If never again they’ll fall upon
The one I so adore

'Scuse me please, one more drink
Could you make it strong
'cause I don’t need to think
She broke my heart
My Grace is Gone
Another drink and I’ll move on

One drink to remember, and another to forget
How could I ever dream to find a love like this again
One drink to remember, and another to forget...

Excuse me please, one more drink
Would you make it strong
'Cause I don’t need to think
She broke my heart
My Grace is Gone
Another drink and I’ll move on
One more drink and ill move on...

You think of things impossible
Then the sun refuse to shine
I woke with you beside me
Your cold hand lay in mine

'Scuse me please, one more drink
Could you make it strong
'Cause I don’t need to think
She broke my heart
My Grace is Gone
Another drink and I’ll go...

'Scuse me please, one more drink
Could you make it strong
'Cause I don’t need to think
She broke my heart
My Grace is Gone
Another drink and I'll move on
One more drink and I'll move on
One more drink my Grace is Gone

3. Invitation To The Blues does the same thing to me

Well she's up against the register with an apron and a spatula,
Yesterday's deliveries, tickets for the bachelors
She's a moving violation from her conk down to her shoes,
Well, it's just an invitation to the blues

And you feel just like Cagney, she looks like Rita Hayworth
At the counter of the Schwab's drugstore
You wonder if she might be single, she's a loner and likes to mingle
Got to be patient, try and pick up a clue

She said How you gonna like 'em, over medium or scrambled?,
You say Anyway's the only way, be careful not to gamble
On a guy with a suitcase and a ticket getting out of here
It's a tired bus station and an old pair of shoes
This ain't nothing but an invitation to the blues

But you can't take your eyes off her, get another cup of java,
It's just the way she pours it for you, joking with the customers
Mercy mercy, Mr. Percy, there ain't nothing back in Jersey
But a broken-down jalopy of a man I left behind
And the dream that I was chasing, and a battle with booze
And an open invitation to the blues

But she used to have a sugar daddy and a candy-apple Caddy,
And a bank account and everything, accustomed to the finer things
He probably left her for a socialite, and he didn't love her 'cept at night,
And then he's drunk and never even told her that her cared
So they took the registration, and the car-keys and her shoes
And left her with an invitation to the blues

Cause there's a Continental Trailways leaving local bus tonight, good evening
You can have my seat, I'm sticking round here for a while
Get me a room at the Squire, the filling station's hiring,
And I can eat here every night, what the hell have I got to lose?
Got a crazy sensation, go or stay? now I gotta choose,
And I'll accept your invitation to the blues

5. There's unfathomable joy in pathos... :)
19th century melancholia. What a time. So buying a copy of Beowulf in New Paltz, who do you think I bumped into? Kathleen Brennan and no less than 3 feet away, there he stood. Nice bump in. :)

Insomnia too?

10. Wu-tang's first abum was all done
analog...which is a rarity outkast is just dirty south with a conscience... Andre is a vegan who is extremely enlightened and the album ATLiens is all original beats and great lyrics....

11. Ach--- Will look them up in the morning
or whenever I wake up. This is going to be so deliciously fun sleeping in with the sun on my face.

Won't be for long though. Tomorrow is "take the dog to the beach" day so can't get up too late.

Take care and good night... Morpheus just hit me (finally!)

Peace

13. That is such a powerful song
I really like the newest CD. I love DMB, always have. My son's are going to see them tonight. The Warehouse screwed me so for the first year I don't get to go. Boo Hoo. At least my boys are not rubbing it in. Great song, inspired me to get the CD out again.

My wife and I went to DMB at the Gorge for our Psuedo-honeymoon. Best place to see a show in America If you are not from Washington state.
