I love the oldies, just haven't had a chance to watch enough to keep track of who's in what.

She also did a couple with Cary Grant. "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" and "Bachelor and Bobby Soxer".

So many folks have forgotten her... but she's just delightful and fun to watch.

I just adore her! She aged wonderfully... never tried to look younger than she was. She accepted growing older gracefully, and the parts she took in her later movies showed it as well.

There's a written test (multiple choice) so you might have a hard time fooling the judges. Mostly questions about fashion, decorating, hairstyles, flowers, old movies, Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Patsy Cline.

I think there may have been a misunderstanding here... or someone may be looking for insults that don't exist.

Until I know more, I'm afraid that I might have to withdraw my apology or offer it "conditionally" if indeed I've done someone an injustice.

I've never been one to intentionally hurt someone's feelings. But at the same time, I cannot be responsible for the timid and hypersensitive professional victims who imagine insults around every corner.

Sorry you decided to backtrack on seeing the insensitivity in your title. Perhaps you didn't intentionally set out to hurt anyone's feelings, but it could certainly be seen that way.

You've also been around long enough to know that the "ask me anything" threads appear just about as quickly as one dies and falls onto page 2.

Since this thread appears to have been intended as a gentle swipe but has obviously caused some offense, I'm going to lock it. If I leave it here it's only going to cause more bad blood.

I'm also locking the follow-ups here and here. But I'd like to add that in my opinion this has been blown out of proportion. Plus the level of immaturity in the Lounge is really starting to make my head hurt.
