Simon & Garfunkel Poised for Concert Tour
NEW YORK (AP) — Unless they get in yet another squabble, it looks like Paul Simon (news) and Art Garfunkel (news) are reuniting for a concert tour.

The former duo has reserved dates at concert arenas across the country, said Gary Bongiovanni, editor of Pollstar, a concert industry trade publication. And they were scheduled to make a "very special announcement" at a New York nightclub on Tuesday, publicists said.

There has been talk of a tour since Simon & Garfunkel performed together to open the Grammy Awards ceremony in February, and they've done the logistical groundwork, Bongiovanni said.

"Everyone's been expecting it," he said. "It was still in the speculative stages, because you never know when Artie and Paul will get in a fight and call the whole thing off."

The mega-selling folk-rock duo broke up more than three decades ago and they've had a fractious relationship since. They put their arms around each other after singing "The Sound of Silence" at the Grammys (news - web sites).

1. It's been on-and-off for a LONG time now.
They really don't much like each other, so getting them on stage together has been a real challenge to a lot of people. I really hope it comes to pass this time, because I've never seen them, and chances like this are RARE.

Here's hoping they work it all out.

3. I saw them a year or two ago
Simon in April and Garfunkel in July. :)

Sorry, couldn't help myself. But I enjoyed both.

4. Now that is a concert I would love to see
I generally don't bother with concerts at all anymore. That reunion could get me to the stadium.

5. I'd show up for that one.
Although when I heard them sing at the awards show last spring, Art's voice sounded gone.

I thought I didn't have any "must sees" left after this summer, but I'll add that one to my list.

After 3+ decades of listening to them, I finally saw Dylan and Young this summer.

6. I really enjoyed them in the 70's
But I hope they can do better than their Central Park album. Some people liked it but I thought it was poorly produced.
