Update on my mama is NYC
They arrived safe and sound @ JFK 20 mins early. Took a cab to Manhattan and the cab driver was from DELANO ..... which is a small city north of Bakersfield.

They had a short time to get to Yankee Stadium and I gotta tell ya, my mom LOVES New Yorkers. Everyone was so nice and helped them to get to the game.

On the way back people were just sweet as can be and made sure they got off on the closest stop. They are staying on 52nd Street and Broadway. They walked several blocks and got to see the Ed Sullivan Theater where President to be elect Kerry was today and now they are safe and sound in the hotel.

Well they're having a cocktail right now, but their back at the hotel.

I gave my mom some Kerry buttons to wear, so she'll be a happy camper in NYC!!!!

They are on their big bus tour today and tonight they are going to see "42nd Street".

Not too cold, not too warm. Sunny. :) Tell mom to steer clear of the UN area - everything's a MESS because of you-know-who. x(

12. I can't wait to hear the stories.
Plus she has my video camera. I swear she's started crying a dozen times already. Soon as she got to Yankee stadium she call my aunt and was crying. I know she's gonna lose it when she sees Lady Liberty, The Empire State Building and so on. Ground Zero will really get her.

Did I mention my mom's very emotional?

11. New Yorkers are ALWAYS cool as hell when I am there.
I don't know where this bad rap about New Yorkers ever came from. I meet nothing but NICE PEOPLE when I am there!
