Although Buffalo Springfield only recorded from 66 to 68 ...they produced several offspring over several decades. Which of the various offspring do you think were the best and why?

Stephen Stills - Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals
Neil Young - Guitar, Harmonica, Piano, Vocals
Dewey Martin - Drums
Bruce Palmer - Bass
Richie Furay - Guitar, Guitar (Rhythm), Vocals
Jim Fielder - Bass

1. Buffalo-Springfield....they where made here in Ohio
The name came from a steamroller, it was made in Springfield Ohio. Just found that out when touring Springfields new historic museum.

....for band I voted Manassas. I had that album on vinyle and it was damn good. Actually all those sucessor bands where good....even Poco, who did a great coutnry rock song about a horse...Thunder Road...i think it was.

5. Neil Young & Crazy Horse

.. for the very reason that during a two hour set at the Roskilde Festival 2001, they proved that rock 'n' roll definantly is here to stay. It was like an awakening, especially since he started with "Don't Cry No Tears", a direct cadeau to the somber mood that had fell upon the last 2 days of the previous festival, in 2000, after 9 people had been crushed to death during a concert that went so wrong.

And then he topped it off with a 15 minute long version of "Keep on Rockin' in a Free World" which just seemed to go on and on and on and on... I spoke to one of the guys that works on the main stage (called Orange Stage/Canopy), and according to him, Neil Young had played 30 minutes past his "allowed" time, but noone dared stopping the concert because they felt that it was so important that people were given time to let out the rage, that people had built up after the unnecessary death of those 9 young men.

Quite perplexing, the following day, Bob Dylan played what must have been one of his worst concerts ever.

Oh, and didn't Stills, Young, Nash & one more form a group once? That would, in my book, certainly count as a spin-off.

6. You missed Stills-Young Band
but I voted for Neil, so it's no sweat off my nose. Long May You Run was lovely, however.
