MEERKAT!

A 49-day-old female baby meerkat who was born August 3, sticks close by her mom on September 20, 2004 as she acclimates to her new surrounding at the San Diego Zoo. The baby meerkat is estimated to weigh about a ½ pound and according to the Zoo's animal care is growing and developing at a good rate. The addition of the baby meerkat at the San Diego Zoo represents the fifth member to the family, which is now defined as a social group. A social group of meerkats usually consists of five to 30 members and are referred to as a 'mob' or 'gang.' NO SALES REUTERS/Handout/San Diego Zoo/Ken Bohn

6. meerkat
absolutely my favorite tribe of creatures. have you ever watched their society in action. they are awesome. i adopted a stray cat who exhibites meerkat habits, sitting erect, swivel head, checking for danger. she has no tail like a bob cat and grrrs like a dog.
