2. Will Bailey
Course he's only been on half a season, so I don't know. How much can we love the fact that he was able to win with a dead guy in a conservative district?

8. I agree
Will is my favorite character now too - the actor, Joshua Malina, (along with the gal that played Natalie) was my favorite character on the very entertaining - and cancelled, of course - show, Sports Night.

6. So many good ones!
But my favorite is President Bartlett. Just think, an INTELLIGENT, compassionate, dedicated, hard-working liberal president! What a concept.

7. Whatever happened with Sam?
I saw they were arrested in California. Then we had the nightly war. Next thing I know, Sam is gone and the girl got kidnapped.

9. Sam announced he was leaving
early last season. It was a long run up to him leaving to run for Congress in California. Did he win a seat in Congress?

He's so neurotic, so passionate, so brilliant.

At the end of last season, when he bought the dream house for Andie and asked her to re-marry him and she said no... oh, how my heart broke for Toby. :-(

He asked her why she wouldn't, and she said "Because you're just too sad for me, Toby. :-( :-( :-(

11. *Sigh* Bradley Witford
I'm so in love with him. He is so sexy. I like his character a lot too, I'd say it's my favorite. Followed by a tie between Martin Sheen and Stockard Channing. I've always been a big Stockard Channing fan (she's my favorite actress) but never cared much for Sheen until West Wing.

Donna comes in a solid third, though I like the new guy Will Bailey a lot too. Gosh, this show has a LOT of likeable characters doesn't it? I never really realized that. The old secretary who died, she was great. Lily Tomlin is shaping up to be great, I just hope we see more of her next season. As much as I love Rob Lowe, he was pretty much a disappointment for me in the show. I didn't dislike him but I never really came to like him that much either. Yeah, Leo is very good too. I like him.

The only character I cannot stand, and sorry for those who disagree, is Toby. He's just too bitter and unhappy and rude.

12. Besides the Pres?
Ya gotta love the Pres. He insists on teaching the staff and makes them go to antique book stores. He love history and knowledge, I love when he quizzes them.

I also love Leo, he has soul! I loved the show where he told Josh about the man who fell in the hole..

"This guy's walking down the street when he falls in a hole. The walls are so steep he can't get out.
"A doctor passes by and the guy shouts up, 'Hey you. Can you help me out?' The doctor writes a prescription, throws it down in the hole and moves on.
"Then a priest comes along and the guy shouts up, 'Father, I'm down in this hole can you help me out?' The priest writes out a prayer, throws it down in the hole and moves on.
"Then a friend walks by, 'Hey, Joe, it's me can you help me out?' And the friend jumps in the hole. Our guy says, 'Are you stupid? Now we're both down here.' The friend says, 'Yeah, but I've been down here before and I know the way out.'"

The actor tells this with so much compassion and yet the character can be hard as nails when defending his best friend the President. I love them both.

I am also a fan of CJ.

13. C.J. Cregg
I adore C.J. Cregg (and Alison Janney who plays her)! I love that there is a strong, smart-ass woman on a show. The best part is she actually looks like a real person~ taller than your average actress, strikingly pretty without being cutesy, and over 30.

16. Oh, God, I love 'em all!
It's my virtual reality! For an hour once a week all's right with the world.

I love the Bartletts and Josh and Donna (will there be something between them this year?). Charlie is wonderful, too. And the dear departed Mrs Laningham.

Even Toby.

I hope the writing continues at his high level. I worry about it without Sorkin.
