I hate that I get tongue tied when arguing with Repukians!

Happens every time. When I started my shift last night, the talk turned to the upcoming elections. One of the more ardent freepers made a comment about Kerry's 'self-inflicted' wounds. Now, I've read enough about the Swift Boat Liars that I should be able to easily rebut such a stupid comment. Or I could at LEAST fire back a snappy rejoinder. But noooo, I feel my blood pressure rising and my face starts flushing, and all I can manage is to stammer a weak "that's not true". Then I spend the rest of my shift thinking of several excellent responses to this fundie jackass. It really sucks. Not that anything I say is going to convince someone whose head is that far up his ass. Just wanted to share that. Thanks.

Reply very calmly. That will piss them off even MORE than you yelling at them. They'll probably pull an O'Reilly "Shut up! Shut up! Cut his mic!"
