3. I was hoping for 2 out of 3, and figuring they'd lose tonight since
Hernandez was pitching, but now I smell a sweep!

4. im here for you joeybee
with the multiple rain delays and it being friday night, there werent as many piling onto the sox bandwagon

but it was great! did you get to see any of it? mannys catch to rob miguel cairo of a homerun?
orlando cabrera and his single to knock in tying run
how about johnny hitting a soft bloop into center field right in front of lofton (mariano was pissed at lofton for not catching it!), scoring gabe kapler for the go ahead

it was great

5. Thanks! Alas, I didn't see any of it!
Tell me, was Manny's "home run" which was a home run, and then a foul ball, really a home run or foul ball? I read that the umps over-ruled themselves when they first called it fair. Second inning, I believe.

13. Thanks--the article only mentioned it, didn't say if Manny or anyone
had a fit when it was over-ruled. But, in the end, right prevailed anyway!

15. since were gloating and everything
you have got to see the highlights: the best was manny robbing miguel of the home run, miguel was going around the bases in his home run trot while EVERYONE ELSE saw that manny made the play of the series in all likelihood.
and im not exaggerating, miguel hit home plate and did the gesture everyone does of kissing his hand and looking up
then he starts looking around cause people are not high fiving him like hes trying to on the way to the dugout

then he turns from the dugout looking all confused and motions to well, to someone i guess umpire off camera, and he cannot believe he was out!

it was awesome. im just sayin.,,,,

17. Sounds wonderful! I will tape it and watch it ad nasuem!
Seriously, those damn Yankees and their fans have to be a little worried. They had the game won, and they lose, and they've lost some pretty bad blow-outs lately. A World Series contender team does not do that this late in the year!

18. Spankme fans have it coming to them...

for saying they deserve to win the WS in 2001 because of SEP-11 and for always saying 1918 whenever the Red Sox do good. Little do they know it's payback time,

20. Its back to the Horace Clark era for the Yanks.
LIke in 1966 when they came in 10th place. Like during the late 60's early 70's when 1800 fans would show up at Yankee stadium.
Bring back Bobby Murcer.

25. I LOVED that time! That was my childhood when all the Yankee fans
in the neighborhood were whining about how good they WERE! Could this be the Curse of Horace Clark now descending on the men in pinstripes?

21. gloat now . . . come the postseason, they'll revert to form . . .
can't beat the Curse of the Bambino . . . lord knows they've tried . . . always with the same result . . .

look at it this way . . . in fourteen short years, you all can celebrate the centenniel of the last Red Sox World Series win . . . that should be good for a parade through downtown Boston, don't you think? . . .

..who are tired of the Red Sox whining about their hard luck, then doing the exact same things the Yankees do to win (blow huge bucks on expensive free agents, etc)..go New York!

You picked the wrong year to root for NY! Even if they win the division, they're out in the first round!
