Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 01:49 PM by Beware the Beast Man
I just got a fax from one of my customers, and the end user is Halli-fuckin-burton. How do I reconcile my politics and still keep my job???

EDIT- oddly enough, this is a Government job (can't go into specifics, but its for the US Embassy so they can shit in private in some nation without running water :grr:)

No CAD drawing for a month! Owww!

I already tried to pawn the job off on a Repub co-worker, but it's too late. I already started it before I knew who it was for.

Turnabout is fair play.

9. Just remember that Halliburton in and of itself isn't evil.
Say they have 100,000 employees. What percentage of them are Dickwad Cheney and his ilk?

For the 1% of HAL employees that are fuckwads like them, there are 99% that just work there and probably are just getting by like the rest of us, trying to do a good job.

14. I don't think that's even remotely comparable.
HAL may have 100,000 employees. Just because 1,000 may be corrupt, doesn't mean the other 99,000 are doing anything illegal, immoral, or even remotely bad.

As guy driving a HAL truck in the US isn't any more evil than a guy driving a FEDEX truck who is no different from some German in WWII who drove a delivery truck that dropped off food at Dachau. Now it's a helluva different story if he's driving an empty truck around Iraq for $200,000/year, or if he's telling some local warlord to use his army to clear people out of the path of the pipeline, or if he's bribing some govt official to give him a contract or even if he's trying to pad his bonus by hiring cheap foreign labor to do dangerous jobs for pennies in Iraq.

11. Unless it's Haliburtons Exec. Washroom
Unless it's Haliburtons Exec. Washroom, focus on the end use customer. Some poor government employee trying to do the best job they know how. n what could be described as difficult circumstances, given no running water and whatever else that means.

12. They are made of pretty nice material.
Stainless Steel, one of our finest. I know that Helliburton has plenty of average working-class schmos under their umbrella, it's just a "personal politics" think, like on Clerks.
