1. It was probably a Republican driving a Kerry/Obama supporters car
likely explanation

2. Yeah, but was it intentional? To show you the sticker?
If so, your point is taken. Otherwise...

7. I doubt it
I don't put stickers on my car, so they didn't know my beliefs, the person was just driving like a bat out of hell going north on the Edens expressway.

And I'm not making bad statements about other Dems, just pointing out that there are idiot drivers of all stripes.

3. Yeah, I've also seen some very polite Bush/Cheney cars
Apparently it's not against the rules for a Democrat to be a total asshole on the road.

5. I have a friend ...
who is Christian who says that's why she won't put a Jesus fish magnet on her car because she figures then everybody will be like, "Those Christians -- they can't drive!!"

6. I really think it's important that if you represent yourself as proKerry
you should be as courteous as possible to other drivers, because people notice things like that.

9. That was me--sorry
:-)

No, actually, my car's in the shop, couldn't have been me.

Bear in mind that political smarts don't correspond precisely to driving skill.

10. Dumbass drivers
don't seem to follow any one political affiliation. A car with a kerry/Edwards bumber sticker crowded in on my two days ago, and a SUV with a Chimp/Crashcart 04 sticker cut me off very rudely a few weeks ago. Idiot drivers are idiot drivers.

12. Um, no
I move with the traffic, probably going about 65-70 in a 55 zone. This person zipped in front of me from the right lane & cut me off so he could get over to the fast lane.

13. I'm sorry I was that idiot driver....
I had not slept the night before and was going to my day job to train my future replacement who will be going to India after sleeping just 4 hours after coming home from my second job. Again my apologies.

(Just kidding it wasn't me, but above is probably true)

14. Are you making lite of my post??
tsk tsk.. :P

You're right that there are lousy drivers on both sides. However there's a difference between just being a crappy driver and cutting you off in an attempt to prove some kind of right wing power trip point.

If that guy had just cut me off because he wasn't thinking I wouldn't have blamed him for that.. It was the way he did it and the reason behind it. That's what made him an idiot in my eyes.

15. I wasn't making light of your post, just pointing out bad drivers
are on both sides. Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think right-wingers are on a "right-wing" power trip when they pull that driving crap. They're just driving like idiots, and it's the same for both sides.

16. I know he did this on purpose.. -- that's the difference
He came up behind me from the right as he got on the freeway.

He went to our left into the car pool lane.

He came back to the right to get in front of me.. slowed down.

Then went back to the left to the car pool lane and went about his merry way.

IF he was just trying to get in the car pool lane and had come from the right when he got in front of me I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

The fact he went into a lane, back into mine then right back where he started from was the key. Also the slowing down and looking in his mirrors to see if I was looking.
