This morning I am sitting on the plastic bench of the gray plastic picnic table. I am drumming my fingers on the tables surface. Boy I think that has a good drumming sound. I think if I had some base drum sticks I could use the table like a drum. I imagine myself beating out impressive well organized drum music for my neighbors listening pleasure. But I have no sense of rhythm. So I give up on thoughts of being the neighborhood drummer and continue my reading.
I have two phones on the table. The land line portable and the cell phone. I remember when I could not afford even one phone. My wife is down town having her eyes examined. I am waiting for her call so I can go pick her up. I bet she will need cataracts removed. I am glad she has Medicare. Everybody should have Medicare or something like it. The book I am readings says that too.
So as I am reading I wrap my fingers around my wrist. Wow, they go all the way around my wrist with room left over. Before my fingers got longer I could not do that. I try on my ankles, my fingers easy en-circle my ankles. Funny I missed that my fingers have grown longer. Next time I go in for a check up I will have to mention that to my health care provider. The 'health care provider' used to be called a 'Doctor'. When did that change and why? I guess it is because he is not a real Doctor, he is a PA I think.
Maybe he will tell me why it is my fingers have grown longer.
The phone rings. I have to go pick up my wife. As I climb the steps into the house I notice the steps have also grown longer steeper.
mine seem to have gotten shorter! Middle aged women tend to lose finger length I think. Interesting thoughts on drumming for your neighborhood. Take it from the mother of a drummer, the neighbors don't usually appreciate it.
I hope you wife does well with the surgery. It usually goes pretty easily. :hi:
