Hot tub ettiquette. Need help!
Okay, next weekend my girlfriend & I are going to a party at some friends house who has a hot tub. They're only inviting 8 people (my girlfriend & I are 2 out of eight)We were both wondering, is it rude to bring a bathing suit or is it common knowledge we all go naked? Any advice?

2. there's no set rule
some people use suits, some don't. Bring a suit in case it becomes clear everybody else has one.

Bring a towel, too.

it depends on the people. Wouldn't hurt to discreetly take a suit, which you can wrap in a towel.

5. had a lot of hot tub parties
in the day. If it bothered anyone to go naked we would all wear suits.

Take a suit just in case there is someone there who feels uncomfortable.

9. I'd pack suits and towels...
and just leave them in the car or a bag if it's clear you're gonna go nekkid and your host provides towels.

It's not rude to bring a suit (I should add -- I'm not really up on hot-tub etiquette, but why would your friends want to make you uncomfortable?). I would assume in these situations, most conservative vote wins.

Nudity isn't such a big deal in my book, though I wouldn't want to be nude with complete strangers.

as are the others who will be there. Theres a little more to this because theres gonna be a guy there who has a MAJOR crush on my girlfriend. She's a little creeped out about it & I'm alittle creeped out. He's always touching her & making sexual comments. Neither I or my girlfriend have trouble going naked, its just depends on the crowd. We're all friends & we've all known each other for along time. We never know who else is gonna show.They sometimes invite other people who are strangers to us.

I think we'll bring our suits & leave them in the car.Thanks all!

be guided by your host. If you choose to wear a suit, be sure that you rinse it clean prior to getting in the hottub or there will be soap bubbles that can ruin the filters.

As a means of modesty, we would traverse in & out of the hot tub w/the suits on, but taken 'em off once under the bubbles!
