Nickelodeon Still "Sponge"-Worthy
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/eo/15008

Break out the anchovies! Everyone's favorite sea sponge is sticking around for more shiny happy fun.

Nickelodeon has ordered 20 new episodes of its hugely popular, Emmy-nominated 'toon, SpongeBob SquarePants.

The news puts to rest any rumors that Nick intended to scrub the little guy and his bizarro crustracean cohorts off its schedule after the debut of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie on Nov. 19.

According to Nick, 60 million viewers watch SpongeBob each month, about 27.1 million of those are adults, helping to cement its third consecutive year as the top-rated kids' show on television.

SpongeBob has also oozed a $500 million merchandising bonanza that includes video and computer games, books, greeting cards, plush toys, squeezable dolls, lunch boxes, beach blankets and even thongs.

3. One of my best friends turned me on to this
His son loves it (or at least did) and he played the one where they are putting together a band for the big game. God was that hilarious.

The employed training video for the Krusty KRab is one of the best wokplace atires I have ever seen, "The all too necessary expense for human resources......"

5. Yes, the workplace training video is a classic.
The whole show has some great workplace satire. Did you catch the one where Squidward convinced Spongebob to go on strike against Mr. Krabs? It's a constant source of amusement to my tiny pea-brain. :)

6. I like the one where Mr Krabs fleeces money
out of the kids while they're on summer vacation...

But Squidward is the best...

7. Spongebob is one of the few
good shows on Nickolodeon today. They used to have lots more, but most of the stuff on it now is crap. Probably market-research driven crap. It's not very imaginitive, not very funny, and not very interesting.

Cartoon Network is going downhill, too. Totally Spies ? That's just sad.
