My cable company has pissed me off

they have a service called video on demand, basically it's a 24 hour rental for movies. I haven't been able to get it for a month-it just stopped working for me. Had to get the box replaced last weekend, and that didn't fix it either.
Tonight, I had to call about how I can't get an online account for bill paying with them because the scripts they wrote don't work. Tech support got it working, got me an account, said my email with my password has been sent. No email yet.
Meanwhile I asked to be transferred to the cable department to work on fixing the video on demand service. I explained to tech support what is going on. He says unplug the box, so that the signals can be resent. I did, and when I go to plug it back in, no more box. It's dead. Retried several times, no difference. Final word: I'm supposed to wait some more to plug it back in. In the meantime, I am supposed to get expanded basic through my TV, only I don't because the remote is for the box.
Crike.

With the PVR, I'm in heaven.

Get a dish.

I have decided myself to get a DISH as well.....I got tired of the steady rate increases and all those hidden taxes.....My bill with BROADBAND was $150.00 a month.......I can get the same level of service on a dish for $59.00 a month.

How many people who get cable call and complain that Free Speech TV is not on?

I get Dish and I get FSTV and it is the now the channel I watch the most. It is the total counter to the corporate model of American propaganda TV today. You can only see this if you look outside the box and notice that foriegn news is not subject to the current US corporation paradigm about what is truth and what is news.

LINK TV is also a great resource and very open and global and non-corporate in its agenda. I even contribute to both stations.

It is sad that I have only found TWO stations, (that many cable subscribers cannot get) that manage to show what is REALLY going on in the world. The Net provides a lot, but TV should provide it as well. We would not be in this mess if valid, important info was available to the People.

Don't knock people as stupid idiots when their bought and paid for media won't give them what they NEED to know in order to provide a truly informed response!

What is the problem in America today? It is not your freepers and Conservatives. It is a toally biased, corporate media that tells them lies and calls it "fair and balanced"! I call that bullshit! Waking up is about knowing that the media is now the Great Whore of Babylon.

I access internet through my cable too. If I go to dish network, I will loke my internet access.
In what way is this an error in logic?

two or three years ago. They needed to replace the three converters I had in order to receive digital. They sent a contractor out to replace them. He was here maybe ten minutes at most. He swapped them out and looked at the new ones long enough to see that they displayed the time. Never did turn on any one of the TV's or explain anything about how they worked. Turns out one was bad and I had to have it replaced but it took them three days to get back and do it. When I got Roadrunner a few months ago they sent out another contractor to do the work. RR worked OK but he put a filter on the line that made me only receive the basic cable channels. It took another three days to take care of that. They did credit my account however.

However... I do maintain "basic cable" connection because that gives me a discount on my cable internet connection that's greater than the cost of basic cable. (Isn't that retarded?)

I think they do it that way to coerce their internet subscribers into beefing up their overall subscription numbers so that they'll be more impressive to potential advertisers.
