1. Damn... I hate that!
I had a wasp chase me around for hours in my house a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately I wasn't stung. What happened?

2. Just making a bowl of cereal, when excruciating pain broke out...
... on my leg. I'm like WTF??? Looked down, saw the stinger, and started to swell.

And I can't even find the little bastard!

5. Mix some baking soda with a little water
to make a paste and put it on the sting. The baking soda will neutralize the poison in the sting and alleviate the pain a bit.

18. They die shortly after stinging
but I'm sure it felt good to get it anyway. Hope you feel better.

21. Wasps don't die after stinging, just honeybees.
Wasps can sting you over and over and over and over and over again. :scared:

6. How does it happen?
Bees have stingers that they use to penetrate your flesh, silly!

Here, like this:

I know, I know, that was cruel.

Sorry you're all stung and such.

8. I'd have no complaint if the little asshole stung me outside.
It's the fact that he stealthily zapped me for no apparent reason in my own kitchen. What a dick! And how did he get away? Don't some bees die when they sting you, or have I been lied to since I was five years old? :-)

10. Oh, if the stinger was still in your leg, she's dead by now.
Pulled half her guts out in you.

At least you can hold on to that little slice of revenge. ;)

in a region of the house and not be aware of it. If you have a fireplace, or chimney, or check behind exterior walls during the day to see if you can hear a low noise - they're remarkably resourceful but what ever you do, DO NOT poke at walls to see if they're right behind. They can dig right up to the wallpaper and you will be very sorry if you do that.

I grew up in Yellowjacket country and knwo wherefrom I speak.

Good luck - also, buy an Epi-pen. Just in case for the future.

What to do?

27. Sh*t happens...
Sometimes for no apparent reason such as a bee sting.

Sometimes with evil aforethought such as FL in 2000.
