Sorry folks, as much as I love Joe Gibbs, coaching was responsible for the loss and being in denial because you love Gibbs is no excuse. It's just like Ronald Reagan in his dementia state trying to still be President of the US and his supporters in deep denial about his problems.

Anytime you have to call timeouts because the coaches can't get the plays ready in time to get to the field, and anytime a team doesn't already have at least 3 plays on automatic when they are at "1st and goal" and anytime you don't have at least one time out left in the last seconds of a game to be able to attempt a field-goal, IT'S COACHING!!!

Just because we all love Gibbs doesn't change the fact that Monday night's game was lost on the sidelines.

1. You have a point of course
but there was also the fact that the team didn't score very many points.

Clock management or no, if you don't make touchdowns, or at least prevent the other team for doing so, you aren't going to win. Can't blame it all on Gibbs.

2. The way some skins fans are reacting you'd think Bush just won
it's a fucking game which involved NOBODY on DU. Some people need to realize this.

3. Good Lord, people.
He's coached 3 games in like 12 years. Give him at least a quarter of a season before you call him washed up...

6. Thank You.
3 reasons why they lost that game:

1. Bad pass interference call gave dallas 1st and goal.

2. No pass interference call for the mugging Rod Gardner got in the endzone.

3. Wasted timeout because of overruled challenge on a play that should not have been challenged.

4. I watched that game last night
I don't know if anyone else saw it, but one time when the camera was scanning the crowd I saw someone with a bush/cheney 04 poster waving it around.

It made me sick!

5. Hard to win when the refs seem to have conspired against you
A Dallas fumble that wasn't.
A Dallas defensive pass interference in the end zone that wasn't.

What did they do, send out a crew of blind refs?

10. How many times did Brunnel get sacked?
How many times did they have to punt?

Bad calls and bad coaching can't be blamed for the loss.

Buncha crybabies in here today!

17. They didn't!
They called a couple of plays... what would decide the outcome is if the Skins could actually CAPITALIZE on their posessions, but they didn't...

Geez someone call a WAAAAAAAAmbulance... these guys are HURTIN!

20. If the Skins had a time-out left it might have turned out better, right?
And why didn't the Skins have any time-outs left? Because of plays getting in to slow. (A problem with Spurrier also) Anyone other than an icon like Gibbs would be crucified.

The reason I am so harsh on this is that my standards of coaching were formed being a Skins fan in the 1980s. I am just holding the man to his own standards.

11. I am anything but a Dallas fan - I have a very unhealthy dislike
for them, actually. However, Dallas made their own mistakes. A 4th down goal line stand and you only have 10 men on the field? No wonder you get scored on with 4 minutes on the clock.

If Gibbs in senile does tha mean Parcells is just stupid?

14. I love Joe Gibbs, but
he's a right wing fundie asshole, so fuck him.

Being a Nazi might be cute when you're winning, but when you're a clueless guy who can't manage the clock or understand rules changes...

Gibbs is just the latest guy to line up for some of Snyder's money. (I am reminded of Earl Weaver's embarrassing return to coaching the Orioles)

22. It's ironic. Last night I was rooting against Dallas (as always), but
it struck me that I KNOW who Gibbs is voting for, but I don't KNOW who Parcells is voting for. (I figure Parcells is probably a Nazi, but I don't know that.)
