I need advice on how to do that Wizard of Oz/Pink Floyd thing!
I've heard about it for years, and am trying to convince the freaks I spend the holidays with to do it this December. Big screen TV, check. CD player with the PF CD, check. DVD of the movie, check.

Now what? And what can I expect? And what do you do when the cd ends?

4. The lyrics seem to mysteriously sync up with the film's visuals
As another poster noted, it helps if you're nicely toasted or better yet, fully baked before attempting this experiment.

Info here.

5. Ah, got it
I dont do the drug thing but it would be interesting to see. Might have to get a copy of the movie. My kids love it but, I wonder how they would like it without the original sound :)

7. check for the hanging munchkin also..

<snip>
There is a rumor going around that somewhere in the background of a scene in THE WIZARD OF OZ there can be seen a man hanging, corpse-like, amid the colorful decor. Is there any truth to this rumor?

10. Spooky!
Just like the "ghost" in Three Men and a Baby! :) We all believed that one when we were little.

13. You CAN see him--or whatever it is.

I don't care what Snopes says, after they meet the tin man and are threatened by the witch, as they're going off to meet the wizard, if you look in the back you can see what appears to be a guy (or something) swinging. I tend to remember you can see some movement, and then is hanging.

So it's not REALLY real, but it certainly is a spooky little thing to see.It happens right in the middle of the blue screen, above Dorothy in that circular kind of area.

15. Is this the part where I confess I've never owned the CD?
Just wasn't the druggy in HS everyone there assumed I was. Clinton's Disorder--couldn't inhale pot smoke because I was a runner and had never smoked a cigarette. Never dropped acid either. A truly boring person. Drank like a longshoreman, though.

Would this or would this not be a fun Xmas activity? Our little crew always tries to do something bizarro around the Mistletoeyness.

I just wish it were to a different pink floyd album instead of Dark Side of the Moon. I am soooo tired of that one.

17. How funny
Actually, what I've heard is that it doesn't work so well with a CD - it works better with vinyl for some reason.

I've never done it myself - let us know how it turns out.
