GOP Singer Chaka Khan's Son Under Investigation For Murder

LOS ANGELES -- Police in Los Angeles say the son of singer Chaka Khan has been arrested for investigation of murder.

Damien Patrick Holland was arrested shortly after the Friday night shooting of an 18-year-old man.

Ok she sang at the 2000 convention. it was a gig. That doesn't mean she endorses Georgie boy. do some research before you throw a perfectly good woman away. Just like her son. Innocent till proven guilty :grr:

Earlier this year, Chaka Khan raised quite a few eyebrows when she sang at the conventions for both the Democratic and Republican parties....

Having said that, though, Khan told LAUNCH where her political allegiance lies. "I'm more of a Democratic-minded person, if anyone wants to know. That's really where my thinking is."

Edit: If she were a repuke, she'd have been in for quite a rude awakening watching the repuke-dominated criminal "justice" system deal with her African American son.

My best friend played at the GOP convention in 2000

And he's a liberal by all means. He just likes to earn money. I was appauled. I wouldn't have done it if I had been starving. But he will. He's trying to make a name for himself.

Phew. I just about blew a gasket when I read that GOP title in front of Chaka's name. No way.

Son of R&B singer Chaka Khan freed

LOS ANGELES (AP) � Prosecutors declined to file charges Tuesday against the son of R&B singer Chaka Khan pending further investigation into the slaying of a teenager, Damien Patrick Holland, 25, was arrested shortly after the Friday night shooting, authorities said.

"There's not sufficient evidence at this time to file criminal charges," said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the district attorney's office.
