Electoral College Map at L.A. Times, very cool flash application
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 03:25 PM by MyUncle
I played around with this (click on the election map). I wound up with a tie in a very plausible scenario.

YIKES. Have fun.

6. the way I play with it
it looks like Ohio means more than Florida, if Kerry takes Ohio, and the other states I think he's got in the bag, then florida doesn't matter. Of course, if Kerry takes Florida then Bush can have Ohio.

how did we get to the place where two states decide the freaking presidency?

7. I was "playing" with Wisconsin, Michigan and Florida.
That is how I wound up with a tie. This map help me understand the numbers better than any other tool I've seen.

Two states!
We want two states
There’s no culture
There’s no spies

10. Unfortunately, a tie is as good as a loss...
...goes to the H of R.

12. Did you work the map and get a tie also?
I didn't think it was possible, but it really is..

14. I got a tie at 269, but I was just goofing to get the tie-breaker rules.
I found it very hard to get enough electoral votes for JK :( GIVEN THE POLLS NUMBERS SHOWN, which are as always suspect.

11. Jesus.
The way I did it, if we get Florida, we win. If not, it's a tie. And I think I was pretty realistic about who's going to go which way.

16. I've been fiddling with this for months: Florida or Ohio, Florida or Ohio
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 07:11 PM by rezmutt
I'm afraid it's gotta be one or the other.

17. Give Kerry Wisconsin, Minnesota, Jersey, Pennsylvania, but
give Bush Ohio, put Michigan in play, it gets really interesting and that is how I got my tie.
