 I can't decide. Help me DU! The colour that wins the poll is the one I buy!

1. None. Go for the 20GB.
Serious - those things fill up 4GB pretty quick. I've filled up about half of my 20GB...maybe I'll put on another 2GB. The form factor isn't really that much bigger.

3. Have they fixed that battery problem yet?
iPod batteries last only 1.5 years or so, right? Then they cost 200 clams to replace?

12. Only a matter of time before aftermarket replacements are available.
There are kits out there already to replace regular iPod batteries. Here's one for 40 bucks that adds a high capacity 21 hr. battery:

The difficult thing with the iPod Mini is that it's a sealed unit. I've seen an article, I think in MacWorld, where they did a Mini "autopsy". The worst and most difficult part was getting the top and bottom plates unglued because the internals slide out like an old-style matchbox. Regular iPods are more of a clam-shell construction that allows you to carefully pop the bottom off and get at the battery easier.

4. silver
I'll buy one beofre I go to Japan for christmas :-) although I could wait and get the 20 gig iPod, since that one can use the iTalk voice recorder mike :-) After that, Tiger and an iBook G4 :bounce:

PS these minis are small or perhaps smaller than most cellphones--really nice!!

10. cause they didn't do it?
I did it and got an ipod 20g. There are two threads around here detailing how to work it right and get it without paying anything. Some DUers even helped me out with referrals.

17. dude how do you do that again?
I need a backup plan if my iRiver turns out to be the crap. I dont have a working CD-DVD rom drive though so its very hard to get things done, plus the only person who knows anything about computers in the house comes home around 8:30 and she's too damned tired to call or help.
