Sudden wave of nostalgia: 7 O'Clock News/Silent Night

I'm feeling the same way today that I felt the first time I listened to those lyrics...

In October, 1966.

The Nixon report is really haunting me today!

Former Vice-President Richard Nixon says that unless there is a substantial increase in the present war effort in Viet Nam, the U.S. should look forward to five more years of war.
In a speech before the Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in New York, Nixon also said opposition to the war in this country is the greatest single weapon working against the U.S.

**Heavy sigh.**

1. And isn't it amazing so many on Du can justify hiding their

political views so as to not antagonize repug neighbors? If we allowed that to influence us, we would have never ended the war.Sigh!

and we're still the vast majority today!

Where do 'they' think we went? Mars?

By remaining silent, we give them the plausible deniability to be able to cheat!

'They' can't win unless they cheat!
