Poor guy. He was demonized, but only because he was the only guy in a throng of six or seven to catch the ball last year.

A stupid act, but if he hadn't done it, someone else would've taken the blame.

4. How about blaming Alex Gonzalez?

Remember, he booted the ground ball right after the Bartman incident. It looked like a double play, and that, more than the foul ball that Alou probably wouldn't have caught anyway, sparked the Marlins offense.

5. The whiners on the Cubs have destroyed the most talented team in the NL

Alou and Hawkins most notably. Without the constant distraction in the clubhouse caused by these two bozos (let alone Hawkins' terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE job as closer), the Cubs would be running away with the wild card. And Dusty Baker (bless him) has done nothing to call out these idiots on their behavior.

Now they've gone from being a World Series favorite to having only an outside shot at making the wild card.

All I can say is...

GO ROCKIES!!!!! GO DODGERS!!!!!!
