Today I attended training for volunteer voter registrars at the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners. The material was presented in a glorious Chicago accent by one George Munoz. The whole thing took about an hour. I am now empowered to register Chicago residents to vote, anytime!
Definately a good thing. That way you KNOW they get filed.
As an aside...I joked with the county clerk, asking if I can get a special parking waver since I'm a registrar. She thought I was serious and actually looked it up. Gotta love em!
