Saw "Shaun of the Dead" tonight and was much amused. (SPOILAGE)
Favorite line:

"Oh my GOD. ...She's SO DRUNK!" (funny in context of scene)

Liked the scene of picking out which LP's to wing at the zombies. Was pleased that my choices would have mirrored those of the mates. I definitely thought that Shaun was a bit young (supposedly 29 in the film) to have as many LPs and to be into the music that he and Ed liked. (Singing Grandmaster Flash's "White Lines" on the way home from pub.)

The part of the movie that was a little too heavy on the syrup didn't work so well for me. But overall a modern classic.

The final scene though a bit predictable, was a good way to end the film.

I like the politically correct newscaster's term of "mobile deceased".:o

3. You've GOT to get hold of Spaced on DVD......
Features the same guy who wrote and starred in SotD (Simon Pegg).

I saw him live once supporting Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge)...He was an absolute genius.

4. Ok , you changed my mind
I grew up just a little north of Pittsburgh, The small town to the south of me, Evans City, was where the Original "Night of the Living Dead" was filmed...(the Graveyard scenes, anyway... I have dirt from the graveyard, I have been there at night, I have never done anything to disturb the cemetary, other than take pics...and I have had permission to be in the cemetary each time I have been there) Romero is a true artist! May I suggest a book? It is called the "Zombies that ate Pittsburgh" If you are into Zombie Flicks it's a must read. It tells how he did the movie, Locations, ETC. I haven't
been into Zombie Movies, I feel they became too much of a joke after they remade NOTLD. I was thinking about seeing this, cause it is billed as being silly. BTW, The newscaster in the original is for real, His name is Bill Cardille (AKA Chilly Billy)... He hosted "Chiller Theater" On late night Saturday TV... They showed all B-Flicks and he is still kicking it in the Burgh, He is a Weatherman now... Works for WPXI... OK, sorry for the Shameless plug of my Home area, But Zombie Movies are a Pittsburgh thing, you wouldn't understand.... Oh, and you can also check out another Hometown Boy... You may have heard of Tom Savini? ::mad Cackle::Hmm for those of you not in the know on such things, He is a really really awesome Special FX guy... and He was also in "From Dusk Til Dawn" He played Sex Machine......

5. I must confess I prefer Spaced to Shaun of The Dead,
Spaced is one of the most amusing programs I've seen. Shaun of the Dead, I felt, was a bit of a let down in comparison. But that's just me.

"Will you marry me?"
"No"
"But I've picked your ring!"
"That's no basis for a sound relationship......"

I went paintballing last weekend - all I could think about was, "You shot me in the bollocks, Tim."
