My Pookie Basset had lots of black too.

I think they are the prettiest colors for Bassets.

I have a bagel - a beagle/basset.

On one episode, the ASPCA was rounding up an abandoned litter of thirteen puppies in an abandoned building who were all huddled together for warmth. Just as everyone was about the leave, they notice one more puppy huddled in a corner alone on the other side of the room. I wonder why it was rejected?

On another epsisode of the show, six puppies were being removed from from a vacant lot (three had frozen to death). Suddenly the camera whips around, and you see this dog barreling down the street towards them like a runaway freight train, LOL! But there was no trouble--all the ASPCA agents had to do was put the puppies' carry pen on the truck, and she hopped right in after them. Well, what would YOU do if you came home and in time to see a bunch of uniform strangers walking of with your kids?
