General Discussion *twitch* General Discussion *shudder twitch*
Edited on Wed Sep-10-03 12:15 PM by WilliamPitt
Can't sleep...Clown's gonna eat me...

Kerry played high school hockey with Mueller and plotted to take over the world...he owns property...is a "boring and typical liberal" who supports the environment wnad is pro-choice...he sold out the POWs and MIAs...Clark wears cologne and starches his shirts and wore these silly stars in his shirt while in Kosovo...

That's about my fill for the day.

7. That swiss cheese is a major NO-NO here in Philly
On our local CBS station they have an add for a new News Anchor for the local news. They spoofed the Kerry incident with the swiss cheese.

4. I'm starting to think that the thing to do is to go around to every one of
these and reply, "And this makes him worse than Bush because...?" People need to try to keep their eyes on the prize. Or at least within miles of it. Maybe we oughta start a club

8. That's about what I do whenever I gander a chance in general discussion
I'll see threads ripping a democratic candidate apart and my reply "You still haven't given me one reason why I should allow Bush to have another 4 years"

11. I want in the Club!
Yes, the way people bash our Dem candidates in GD, it makes me think they hate other Dems worse than we all hate the stump.

17. Gosh, it's just like Pentecost (kidding! kidding! Don't flame me!)
Yes, any and all who want to go do that, you certainly don't need my permission, or a club secret decoder ring. Make like Nike and just do it.

5. Well, you saw the forum title, didn't you, Will?
'General Discussion' They're discussing the General. General Clark, that is. Everything. Important and trivial; exciting and banal. Just excitement over having an unbeatable possible candidate, that's all.

15. The Democratic Candidate threads are still noise...
I mostly ignore them. It makes my life so much easier.

My oldest son, who isn't even old enough to vote, provides a perfectly fine synopsis every day.

16. I posted a great comment from Robert Reich on GD the other day
He was saying that we all have to keep our focus on the goal, to get rid of bush in 2004. He warned people to not get so emotionally involved around their preferred candidate that they won't be able to wholeheartedly support the nominee when the time comes. Many people who read it thanked me for posting it, but unfortunately the thread sank too quickly for many people to have read it.

19. I don't generally read those threads.
I wish instead to think one day past the Dem primary to: "Just imagine how much passion and intensity there will be in the Democratic party when ALL of us embrace that one candidate." I look for all of that emotion, somewhat devisive and hurtful right now, to be a real steamroller in just a few short months.

Well, one can dream!
