Final Cut Express ...editing software Question?
Does the Final Cut Express come with an instruction BOOK? I have the box, dvd, and brochures/paper that all came with it and I have been turning my house upside down looking for the BOOK that came with it.

Now, I can't remember if an instruction book came with it or not.

Does it come with and inst. book?

2. Don't know about a printed manual...
...but isn't there a .pdf (Adobe Acrobat format) manual on the disc?

Anyway, there are at least three or four third-party books out there, including the inevitable "Final Cut Express for Dummies"...

3. That's why it's so cheap!
Otherwise, it'd be $999, like Pro...

Seriously, like the other poster said, pick up an after-market book on it, like 'Final Cut Express for Dummies' or something. Programs that big and complicated (like Quark) require more than just a manual.

4. look for a tutorial
inside of the application. It IS a step or two up from iMovie, so I'm pretty sure there's a tutorial r 2 to get you started. And the 3rd party handboks are great too.

5. Look on the CD-ROM (or DVD or whatever)
It's common practice now to put the documents on disk.
We just got 2 Sony DSR-1800 DV-CAM pro machines this week, and the operator's manual is on a CD...
