Some days I feel like I would be better off if I did not give a shit.
I spend too much time researching what is really going on in this country & the world. I then look at the stupidity of most of the people I deal with ever day & I get very depressed.
If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy.
Some days I wish I way more ignorant & I just did not give a shit.

2. I understand
What you describe is what I personally refer to as my curse. You explain it very well.

3. Boy, do I hear you!!!
I have severe clinical Depression and woke up politically just in time for this shit storm. Some days I just want to bang my head against the wall until I'm as stupid as a freeper.

4. Amen...
After watching Bush tonight and the lack of serious criticism, I'm in the same boat.....

it makes me ask myself if I am hopelessly biased and ignorant when I don't see, read and hear the criticism that that dim bulb deserves....

5. I feel the same way
I too research the issues and find myself extremely frustrated with the uninformed masses. I also find myself filled with what I like to call "impotent rage". There's little I can do about how things are going other than what I'm already doing. Its an unhealthy feeling and sometimes I envy those who aren't burdened with the knowledge of where this country is headed.

6. The key is to "see"...

and not let it get to you. -- Because you can never go back to ignorance (without some kind of major malfunction anyway).

I am not saying that it is easy. But "seeing" is the only (effective) way to solving... of course once you realize just how bad the problem is, it can be rather troubling.

Most folks just shut it out -- that, at least, makes it easier to "handle". But if you are like me, it would nag you anyway.

So go ahead and see -- see like the raven. But you will need a raven's heart.
