Look how well we improved after dumping Griffey and Arod. 116 wins!

Frankly, I don't miss any of those assholes, including Randy.

I still say it was the 9-11 week-long stoppage that threw the rhythm off... they lost their sharpness that final week - they should have broke the record instead of tying it. I know it sounds odd to blame that, but putting the brakes on much momentum is hard to get back. It was not the same team that dominated the hell out of baseball in 2001.

At least Melvin is gone, he was the wrong style manager for the team. Some are only cut out for NL ball, unlike Lou, who excelled at both.

And they despise their Republican owner's politics. They come from NY, NJ and CT, all reliably Democratic areas, especially NYC, which is 3-to-1 Democratic.

Of course, the front men are George and Rudy, two of the biggest Pubsters in creation, but, don't forget, we had the balls to boo Cheney when he showed up for a game this August.

That said, the only way we can accept losing to the Sox this year is if Kerry wins. New England had better be good for something this fall besides foliage (ours is just as good anyway).
