1. I know many find this sappy, but to me it is a beautiful movie--especially
with that wonderful John Barry sountrack. Watch it if you haven't seen it (or if you have)

13. I agree totally
Completely saccharine but it's pretty hard to resist.

4. I love that movie too - now to convince the DH to watch it. LOL
It's my birthday, it ought to be my choice :)

6. That movie always makes me cry at the end. Knowing that Christopher
Reeve has died makes it even sadder, you know? Kind of eery, too.

9. Thanks, and welcome
I think AMC already had that movie lined up this week anyway because I pulled the schedule on Friday and saw it listed and was wondering how I could watch it without my husband calling it a silly girl movie. It really is a beautiful movie.

10. That movie would have been a lot better
if Christopher Plummer's character had been the doctor tending to Christopher Reeve in the hotel at the end of the movie. That would have completed the circle, in my opinion.

11. Sadly, not Mr. Reeve's finest moment.
Frankly, I thought SOMEWHERE IN TIME was putrid! Better AMC should run the first SUPERMAN film, or perhaps THE BOSTONIANS.

14. I originally saw it when I was in a
time travel SF phase I think, which is why I enjoyed it.

15. I don't know about the rest of you, but I sobbed so much through this
showing tonight, that I feel dehydrated.... Somehow, though, it was a catharsis.

I'll miss you, Christopher and I ache that you never saw your dream come to fruition to walk again. I can only pray you are whole, healed and walking wherever you are now. May peace be with you.

16. So, did anyone watch this?
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 09:18 AM by SarahBelle
Ok movie, but so not realistic. I mean, after all, in the real world where time travel doesn't exist (except for this nanometer wide laser wormhole some lab created somewhere, but that's a sort of digression I suppose), two people wouldn't have these kinds of problems if they wanted to be together. I mean, after all, what could go wrong? It's all just so simple.

Everything is just all one great and wonderful bowl of cherries, right?

On second thought, it's more like one, big...
