"A Christmas Story" Audition: They had me read TWICE for The Old Man!
The Old Man! Ralphie's dad! A GREAT role! :D

They will post the cast listings on the theater's front window this Wednesday at 5PM. Wish for a broken leg, good luck, or whatever you wish. :bounce:

And if I don't get it, that's fine! It was fun just trying. :-)

I keep telling myself I am going to audition for Dallas' Shakespeare in the Park (summer) but I always lose my nerve. Everyone who gets a part has an MFA in Acting from Yale and shit.

Good luck!!!! The stage is SO much damn fun!

Reasonable hours too. I remember rehearsals in college theater being nearly every day for hours on end. This is a small local theater, but it looks like they enjoy decent support. :D :hug:

It will be strange if I do... only acted a few times in college in the late 80's... and this one is community theater, with kids playing the actual kid parts. :-)

My first reading was when he signed for the lamp, to the point where he stands in the street telling his wife where to place it for maximum viewing.

The second reading begind with him trying to solve the contest, and battling the furnace.
