The hunchback, the mania, the paranoia. All he needs to do next is lose his horse.

Disclaimer - Shakespeare's Richard III was smart and charismatic, though, and the real Richard III was a totally different kettle of fish)

Wastrel and ne'er-do-well in youth, follows in his father's footsteps, has responsibility suddenly thrust upon him, engages in reckless military adventurism and empties his treasury while pursuing the course his monstrous vanity and almost psychotically obsessive sense of purpose set him on.

13. Bush is Alberich incarnate
Alberich was the dwarf who forged the Ring of Power in Richard Wagner's opera "The Ring", which was also based upon the same German and Nordic myths that Tolkein used to write his version of the story.

17. Yeah. Lydon performed the role perfectly.
There was a camping store in the town where I grew up had a Boxing Day sale on equipment. The sign read 'NOW IS THE WINTER OF OUR DISCOUNT TENTS!'
