I hate the smell of PineSol

I just mopped and used PineSol and it smells like shit. I'm getting nauseous. My roommate actually likes that smell. Pardon me while I pass out.

2. I think the residue is unhealthy if ingested by

living beings. Like liver damaging-don't let your kitties or puppies walk on that floor!

My grandma cleans houses for a living in addition to my stepmother and aunt and I really don't think its healthy. Do you think the fumes can inflame arthritis. There doesn't seem to be a logical connection but my stepmother is in a really bad way w/ her rheumatoid arthritis.

There are PLENTY of friendly, less toxic germicides and cleaners available. Orange and Grapefruit extract cleaners are pretty effective. A company called Ecover http://food.ecover-professional.com/en/ makes some decent safer cleaning shit.

Also Seventh Generation http://www.seventhgeneration.com/ makes safer cleaning stuff and toilet paper and paper towels, made of recycled paper. Nice! :)

Also I think the safer, sustainable earth products tend to be run by liberals and dems (Ecover is Belgian, not sure of their leanings; 7th G is an ally of Working Assets and urges pepole to Vote on Nov 2)

For the most part, once something dries, the germs die. Lose the freaking Pine sol :)

7. Steam cleaners

have come way down in price and use no chemicals at all. The hand helds do wonders in places that you usually can't even get to with chemical cleansers.

And there's nothing that bacteria can become immune to.

6. Quit using it!

Pine cleaners have been shown to cause asthma in industrial settings. They do not do such testing for products used in the home - you are on your own.
So many cleaners have toxic chemicals in them but it is up to you to investigate and find out what they are. These huge corporations have been getting by with murder and/or injury to consumers.
There are several sites to look up MSDS sheets but remember they are written by corporate lawyers who generally try to minimize things.
