2. not one character was endearing or funny
it sucked and i have a high tolerance for bad "Family" movies. Awful.

5. Don't forget "tedious" -- it was Very Tedious!
I love good animation -- this was NOT good animation. It reminded me of Saturday morning cartoons in the 80's, with Really Bad Plot Lines. Sigh...:(

8. some of the worst dialogue ever
nothing in there at all for the adults except a few dumb references to Jerry Maguire and some mob movies.

I thought the "Say hello to my leetle friends" line was great (I love when I get lines in movies that go right over my son's head. He gets this "WTF?" look on his face while I crack up).

9. we were thinking of taking my son to see Sky Captain (?)
I heard that was pretty good for kids and tolerable for adults. As for me, I prefer the Jimmy Neutron movies and HArry Potter movies... they don't seem to insult one's intelligence when you take kids to the theater.

If you're a fan of the old serials and the visionary works from the 30's (Metropolis, Wizard of Oz) you'll find plenty there to enjoy.

I love that deco look and black and white. SInce we can't take the 8 year old to see SHaun of the Dead, after all. :)

10. Oh, dear, I promised the little one I'd take him.
He's doing great in school this year, he richly deserves it (he had a very bad last year). So I MUST do this. Wish me luck.
