I'm a life long Yankee fan from Brooklyn. While I have always enjoyed our great rivlary, I have always enjoyed watching the Sox for their intense play. And while it is true that Yanks' fans have gloated over their wins, you should remember that for many years Celtics and Bruins fans openly gloated because of their wins over our Knicks and Rangers.

So, unfortunately, gloating has always been a two way street. It would be best if we all competed in a spirit of fun and shook hands like good sportsmen after the competition is over.


BTW, mucho congratulations for the success of the Super Bowl Patriots.

I admit I like to tease the Sox fans sometimes cuz they get so riled up...but that's only cause I'm a Knicks fan and had to hear it from the Celtics people forever. :P

Really it's just a game, though. Good-natured ribbing is fine but people can get ridiculous with it. Fans throwing foul balls back is just tacky.

The Yankees crow about having "Homegrown talent". Their homegrown talent currently costs them 60 million dollars to keep on their team. If they only had the resources of Minnesota or Tampa Bay, that "homegrown talent" would have left a long time ago. 60 million dollars is more than the total salaries of 14 MLB teams.

Its time for the fans of the forgotten teams to stand up and demand fairness, to stand up to George Steinbrenner, and for players to sacrifice their greed for the good of the game.

Being a Minnesota fan. There should be revenue sharing like there is in football- it makes things more competitive. Minnesota has won 2 World Series but not for a while.

don't blame it on Bostonians just because your team lost. Boston is one of the safest cities in the country. the cops used excessive force and a tragedy happened. The Boston Police should not have used bean bag bullets.
