We had a somewhat interesting incident last night
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 04:35 AM by JonathanChance
Some dude in my hall got wicked pissed up, stole this fundie dude's bible, soaked it in wine, ripped out some of the pages, set some of them on fire, dipped the rest in wine, ate them in front of the fundie, then spit them out and told him that they "tasted like shit".

It's disturbing and yet satisfyingly funny at the same time. What sucks is that this guy's gonna go to all his fundie friends on the internet and the fundie orgs on campus and whine about how this is an example of all the "persecution" that "real Christians" are up against.

3. Unless the fundie dude did his share of trespassing,
then this situation is totally unwarranted.

Even if the fundie did force his view onto others, the dude with a bible burning fetish was still in the wrong. There are better ways to confront people without resorting to violence or lunacy.

4. He stole and destroyed that guy's property
I don't care what the property was. I'd be upset if anyone stole and destroyed anything of mine. In a dorm, I'd probably go to the hall director, maybe even the police. Destroying something that doesn't belong to you is not cool. It is mean and illegal.

5. Stupid, drunks...
Always doing funny shit. It was really pretty amazing stuff, for a drunk to have thought up.
