What's the WORST video game you've ever played?
For me, SUPERMAN for the N64 is the worst game ever. This thing was absolutely awful in every single aspect of the game. If you were to teach rudimentary programming skills to a roomful of retarded monkeys, they would probably make a better game than this.

But the SECOND worst game I've ever played was DRIVER 3. The first time I played it, I was heartbroken. It looked so good in the previews, but then... shit. Absolute shit. Call me a perfectionist, but I think if you're making a game about driving and shooting, you should be able to actually drive and shoot without wanting to kill yourself.

2. "The Neverhood"
Man, it was creepy with a capital C. I was jumpy for days after playing it. Not to mention that it totally sucked.

3. Daikatana, but Superman 64 is a close second.
At least Superman 64 cost them about $8 to make. Romero blew an insane amount of cash (even by today's standards) to turn out the turd-fest that was Diakatana. The design team left the project in order to produce their next opus. . . KISS: Psycho Circus. So that piece of shit was doomed from the start.

Watch the real media video. You'll laugh your ass off. :)

If you're bummed about Driver 3, get "Burnout 3: Takedown".

6. I REMEMBER THAT GAME!!!

Cheesy as hell. Pretty bad. I have very vague memories of the arcade version, but yes, I admit to playing it. I remember it played midi versions of Journey songs, just in case the game itself wasn't bad enough.

I noticed on the link that you are referring to the 2600 version. There was an arcade version as well, and it was pretty dumb:

I can sleep better knowing that the site has emulators to play both versions on the PC.

There were a few lame ones back in the 1980's. "Dragon's Lair" was an experiment with real-live animation and laser discs. Playing it absolutely sucked. "Adventure" for the Atari 2600 was stupid as well. Their football game was awful.

9. I have the MAME arcade version
and I leave it on the list just so my friends can see how dumb it is. It's really a horrible game in every sense.

Dragon's Lair did have sucky play, but I have to admit I was very taken by it when it first came out. I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. I liked Adventure too, but only because it was the first game with a challenging easter egg.

7. Q-Bert was great!
It was a pain in the ass to play (it totally threw off your sense of perspective and direction) but at least it was unique. I liked when he swore.

15. You're probably right
E.T. was terrible.

And I heard it was a huge dud.

I have heard stories about warehouses full of E.T. cartridges that wouldn't sell.

16. ET was to Atari
like Heaven's Gate was to United Artists. It sunk the company. Warner split the company in two and sold it for firesale prices, with one piece going to the reviled Tramiels.
